EXPLORE THE WORLD!
A GAP Year is really an opportunity for a student to take a year off between secondary and tertiary education. There is enormous value to be gained from such a break. It can offer new challenges, opportunities to travel and to see and experience life in other cultures, and give an added maturity that is of both immediate and enduring benefit.

GAP Activity Projects Australia (GAP Ltd) is an international educational charity, registered in the UK, which offers students from 18-20 the opportunity to live and work in a different country and culture for up to a year. It is a chance to experience a different way of life, take a break from studying, challenge you, meet new places and have an adventure.
Tutors WorldwideTutors Worldwide is an organisation, which offers “excellence and experience in tutor placements”. This organisation offers the school leaver the opportunity to work in an overseas school environment as a tutor at either a primary or secondary school. In a secure, stable and supportive environment a tutor is given board, lodging and some “pocket money” in return for performing a range of tasks and duties at the school's discretion.

For more information on the job description, working hours, the rewards and cost structure, etc. speak to Mr Thompson in the Careers Centre.
