Aims

The Old Melburnians Society's aims, objectives and activities are directed towards supporting the School. The Society's main aims are:

Who is an OM?

All students become Old Melburnians at the end of their final year at secondary school - whether they are at Melbourne Grammar School or another educational institution.

Most students elect to become Life Members of The Old Melburnians at the completion of their schooling, by paying a Life Membership fee. Life Membership enables them to stay in contact with the School and The Old Melburnians for their life, to participate and vote at Old Melburnians meetings and Annual General Meetings and to become members of The Old Melburnians Council.

The OM Society

In order to pursue our aims and goals most effectively, The Old Melburnians Society operates through an elected Council and School representatives including the Headmaster. There is also an Executive Committee. The Council meets regularly at The Lodge, home to the Grammar Community. Various sub committees take responsibility for key areas and activities.

Activities:

A database with all Old Melburnians and current contact details is maintained by the Development Office and used to stay in regular contact with Old Melburnians. OMs can keep in touch via the Internet through OMs Online our community database. This can be accessed via the School's website by logging on with your details and peer year. You can also subscribe to a quarterly OM newsletter.
